Welcome to the world sweet boy! Reed was born on May 18th at 2:19 am. He was 3 lbs 8 oz & 16.5 inches long (we made it to 34 weeks & 1 day). He spent two weeks in the NICU just to learn to feed and grow. Thankfully, he never needed any respiratory support and came out crying, strong and healthy. Gatlin is in love with his little brother —it is so sweet to witness their bond already. Jared and I are very grateful he entered the world safely and that he is doing so well. We knew he would be small since the IUGR diagnosis but with each day he will continue to grow and get stronger.
He wouldn’t be a Haren without a wild and unpredictable birth story, and he just might have topped his big brother Gatlin’s…which is saying a lot! It sure was a difficult journey to get him here safely, but we are happy to be on the other side of it all now and are soaking up this special time as a new family of four! These beautiful family photos were taken by my dear friend Erica Streelman and I also snapped some of just Reed on his due date (June 28th, 2022).
